The turning point of kindergarten materials?

After operating the computer mobilising courses into schools and kindergartens for four years, we started to realise that there was a demand for kindergarten’s classroom learning materials, i.e., books and software. The company created a new brand, MELS and specialising in developing multimedia programmes with animated cartoons and songs for different learning materials. The software complimented the learning materials for children, books and toys. To make it more feasible for the kindergartens, the hardware (i.e., computers and big screen monitors) cost was built into the cost of books which were paid by the parents.

The idea managed to attract the attention of many kindergartens, as it was simple for them to switch to the new books and the multimedia computers and software were provided and maintained without incurring additional cost to them. MELS promoted the new ideas with seminars and trainings. The first product launched was Phonics-44 reading. Subsequently, the following product was thematic teaching system by integrating languages with natural science, basic counting and moral value through stories. The idea began in 2001 and in less than 4 years, the company managed to attract 560 kindergartens to implement the new teaching system compulsorily (adopted to all students in these 560 kindergartens.)
